Location info
Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
The hotel is located in a prime spot, close to the Mass and within walking distance of restaurants and bars. The rooms are spacious, bright, and contemporary, though they faced north and took a bit long to get ready. The service was exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff who even went out of their way to grab a glass of wine from the back room. However, the dining experience was below average, and the hotel has gone downhill a little. Overall, a convenient location with some room for improvement in dining.
My stay at this hotel was wonderful in every way. The rooms were equipped with a snack bar, refrigerator bar, an ironing board and iron, hair dryer, a soft terry cloth robe, and full-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The free breakfast was a nice touch, making the stay even more enjoyable. However, I found the service lacking and would not consider going back, despite the convenient location.
The hotel is situated in a calm spot within walking distance of the shops in Georgetown, making it convenient for those visiting friends in the area. The rooms are decent but lack the luxurious touch found in other DC Kimpton hotels. The location is helpful for exploring by foot, yet public transportation accessibility is limited. The dining options are satisfactory but could use more variety. Overall, a good choice for a visit to DC with friends or family.
